Tax preparation in Austin, TX — W-2, 1099 or an LLC.
Your first W-2 or the third year of your LLC — same process either way. We go through your documents, tell you what you can deduct and why, and you see the finished return and the price before anything goes to the IRS.
What your free consultation covers
- We go through your whole tax situation, at no charge.
- You leave with the exact list of documents your case needs.
- You get an estimate of your refund before you commit to anything.
- Price and scope in writing — nothing gets added later.
What kind of return do you need?
From a first W-2 to a corporation’s year-end, your case fits in one of these five.
Personal taxes (W-2)
For employees. We work through 1098-T, 1095-A and every deduction you qualify for — standard or itemized — so the refund that comes back is the one you’re actually owed.
Self-employed / 1099
Independent contractors and gig workers: Uber, DoorDash, cleaning, construction, trades. We deduct real business expenses, mileage and the home office.
LLC taxes
Single-member and multi-member. We prepare your Schedule C or K-1 with the year’s books in order, so filing doesn’t turn into a reconstruction project.

Form 1120 and 1120-S, payroll and financial statements, tied to your monthly bookkeeping so nothing surfaces in March that should have been handled in June.
See the detailsFiling with an ITIN
No Social Security number? You can still file. We prepare the return with the ITIN you have, or apply for it with you in the same appointment — as an IRS Certified Acceptance Agent, so your passport never goes in the mail.
See the detailsWe’re not a seasonal franchise.
A team that knows your name and your file — not a counter with a line and staff that turns over every April.
- You work with the person who prepares your return. Not whoever’s on shift in February, and not an assistant who hands it up the chain.
- Most simple returns are done in 48 to 72 hours.
- You see every deduction explained before you sign. Nothing goes to the IRS that you don’t understand — which is also the cheapest audit insurance there is.
- A free refund estimate before you commit to anything.
Think your situation is unusual? We’ve probably filed it.
These are the six that walk in most often. Find yours.
“I’m self-employed and I have no idea what I can deduct”
The IRS lets you subtract real business expenses before it calculates what you owe: home office, mileage (or gas and maintenance), equipment, software, your phone, and part of your health insurance premium if you’re your own boss. Most self-employed people overpay because nobody ever walked them through that list. In the free consultation we go through the year’s income and build the full list of what you can claim — before you sign anything.
Construction, restaurants, Uber or DoorDash
Every trade has its own deductions. Rideshare and delivery: mileage, phone, passenger snacks, car maintenance. Construction: tools, safety boots, mileage between job sites. Restaurants: reported tips and required uniforms. We don’t run a template — we ask what your day actually looks like, because that’s where the deductions are.
“I have an LLC and I never filed taxes for it”
One of the most common cases that comes through the door, and there’s no lecture attached. We file the years that are missing, work out whether you owe Texas Franchise Tax, and if catching up turns up a balance, we tell you exactly what you’re looking at and who handles that side. If the books were never kept, we clean them up first with monthly bookkeeping. And if the entity isn’t formed yet, we can open your LLC too.
“A letter came from the IRS and I don’t know what it means”
Bring it in and we’ll go through it with you. A letter from the IRS is usually not an audit — most notices are settled with one written response, and that’s the work: we read it, tell you in plain terms what’s being asked and what’s at stake, help you put the response together and get it sent before the deadline printed on the letter. If it needs a phone call, you make the call and we sit with you while you do. What we don’t do is speak to the IRS in your place: audits and IRS debt go to a specialist with full representation rights, and if that’s what your letter turns out to be, you hear it from us in the first meeting, with a name to call.
Bring us the letter“I want to buy a house — how do my taxes affect that?”
Your last two returns are among the first documents a lender asks for. Unreported income or unfiled years can stall a closing. We prepare clean, consistent returns that back up the income you actually have. And if the score needs work before you qualify, that’s the same team down the hall — credit repair.
“I haven’t filed in a couple of years”
We get you caught up, no lecture. We work backwards from the most recent year — the IRS generally wants the last six years for back filing — and we file them in order, so what the IRS receives is consistent year to year. Unfiled years aren’t automatically debt, either: plenty of them turn out to be refund years, and filing is what stops the failure-to-file penalty from growing. If the finished returns do show you owe, we tell you exactly what you’re looking at and hand the payment side to a licensed specialist — settling debt with the IRS isn’t work we take on.
Let’s look at your yearsFour steps, no surprises.
From the free consultation to the e-file confirmation.
Free consultation
In the office, on video or over the phone — 15 minutes to understand your whole situation.
Your document list
Specific to your case, not a generic checklist you half-fill and guess at.
We prepare the return
You get every deduction explained before you sign anything.
E-file and follow-up
We file with the IRS and track your refund until it lands.
You’ll know the exact price before we start.
We quote your actual return instead of posting a “starting at” number, because a simple W-2 and a self-employed return with an LLC and two states aren’t the same job. So it starts with a free consultation: we look at your documents and you get the price and the written scope of what’s included — before you decide to work with us. If something in your paperwork would change the quote, you hear it before we do the work, not on the invoice.
Right Step vs. a seasonal tax franchise.
Not every preparer stays in the picture the same way.
